The City of Campbell is centrally located in the Silicon Valley, 50 miles south of San Francisco, and bordered by San Jose, Los Gatos, and Saratoga, and was founded in 1846 by Benjamin Campbell. This small quaint town has it’s roots as a major center for shipping fruit grown in the surrounding area, all well as an important rail center for several fruit canneries serving the all the local orchards. The cit was officially incorporated in 1952 and the city began to transform from orchard lands into residential and office developments. Today, Campbell is a suburban residential neighborhood with a population of 41,161 and a balance of land uses for commercial, industrial, and quality housing, all within its six square miles.
